Chapter Objectives and Operations
As described on the Welcome page, the ARMA Golden State chapter is a professional organization devoted to supporting records and information professionals of all skill and knowledge levels. The chapter’s objective is to help members and non-members:
- Develop and expand their knowledge in the records management and information governance space,
- Network with colleagues within and outside of their current industry as well as potential solution providers, and
- Keep well-informed about the latest news, trends, best practices, and solutions available.
These objectives are primarily accomplished by the chapter events offered. All chapter-sponsored events are planned and coordinated by the ARMA Golden State Board of Directors (BOD).
The BOD is composed of volunteer chapter members working and living in different parts of the San Francisco Bay Area (and sometimes beyond). Our operations are governed by established procedures and chapter bylaws.
The BOD welcomes all feedback and suggestions on how to improve our program offering. Please use the form (link available at the bottom of this page) to contact us, we would love to hear from you. We also want to hear from you if you feel you have something to offer or want to give back to the chapter. We are always looking for new volunteers.
We are also committed to being transparent. All current ARMA Golden State members* are allowed to review the chapter’s records (e.g., Treasurer Reports, BOD meeting minutes etc.). If you have any inquiries about the chapter’s records or our operations, please submit the form at the bottom of this page.
*A current ARMA Golden State Chapter member is a Professional Member of ARMA International who selected ARMA Golden State Chapter as a local chapter on the ARMA International website.
